A subscription gives you 1 year of updates and support from the date of purchase.

Ottawa Recreation offers programs throughout the year, but especially in the summer, to provide recreational opportunities for the citizens of Ottawa. The Playground and Recreation Board members are committed to providing quality recreational opportunities with the lowest possible fee to the greatest number of people.

Summer Recreation Office Hours (June and July) Our office will be closed beginning July 25 until June 2021.

We will do all we can to have some sort of season. T

The Ottawa Playground and Recreation board decided at its Thursday meeting that it would not sponsor adult basketball at this time due to IDPH restrictions and COVID safety concerns. It will revisit the situation at its January meeting.

Youth teams wishing to use City of Ottawa baseball and softball fields for practices must submit proof of insurance to the Recreation office in City Hall, and they must have proof available at practices. No exceptions.


Riordan Pool 2020

  • Riordan Pool will not open in 2020 due to the pandemic.  


Ottawa Recreation City Tennis Tournament:  Cancelled this year due to pandemic.
