A subscription gives you 1 year of updates and support from the date of purchase.

Ottawa Recreation offers programs throughout the year, but especially in the summer, to provide recreational opportunities for the citizens of Ottawa.  The Playground and Recreation Board members are committed to providing quality recreational opportunities with the lowest possible fee to the greatest number of people.

Summer Recreation Office Hours (June and July) Our office will be staffed full time beginning June 15.

PROGRAMS

Summer Park Programs and Camps:  

 Our crafts giveaways will begin at the the parks June 16.
 

Summer 2020 Craft and Tiny Tot give away schedule

 

Supervisors will be at the parks for two hours every Tuesday and Thursday to give away bags of crafts (for 7-12 year olds) or Tiny Tot activities (for 3 to 6 year olds).  Drive by and our supervisors will come to your car with the crafts or tiny tots projects that you need.  Then you can be on your way!  We will have a YouTube channel with visual instructions as well as the written instructions in each bag.  Below is our schedule.

 

Beginning Tuesday, June 16 and ending Thursday, July 23 (rain date July 24). 

 

Morning Parks (Tuesdays and Thursdays 10 to 12 noon): Lincoln School (east side), Turnberry, Kiwanis Park, Lincoln-Douglas Park

 

Afternoon Parks (Tuesdays and Thursdays 1:15 to 3:15 pm): Hollywood Park (1 block north of Sam’s Pizza), East Side Park, McKinley School (west side), Rigden Park

 

If we are not at the parks due to rain, we will hand out the crafts on the next scheduled date.

Programs and Camps for the summer are on cancelled due to the pandemic.    We are giving away children’s craft activities twice per week for the six weeks of our program.  Stay safe, keep up your social distancing, wear your masks. Let’s defeat the virus by having safe Recreation!

Riordan Pool 2020

  • Riordan Pool will not open in 2020 due to the pandemic.  

 

Ottawa Recreation City Tennis Tournament:  Cancelled this year due to pandemic.
